You probably remember Rescue Rooter mentioning in a previous post that if you have galvanized iron pipes, you probably need to have them check because chances are, they may need to be replaced. Here are two signs you can look for that will let you know.

Low-Pressure Warning

If there is corrosion occurring in your pipes, the water pressure will start to drop and you will see a brown tint in your bath or sink water. And there is a very good chance that your water-using appliances might even be damaged.

Pinhole leaks

Watermarks on your drywall and the floor are another sign that you may be developing small leaks in corroded pipes. This can develop into a real problem with mold and other side effects if not addressed right away.

If needed, we can repair or replace the pipes to get your plumbing working efficiently. For more information please give us a call at (770) 908-8488.
