I’ve been wearing shorts here in Atlanta the past few days so I hope that means what I think it means–spring weather is here to stay. When you start cleaning out your drawers in your bedroom and replacing the winter clothes with spring and summer clothes, don’t forget about your plumbing changes, too!

Like your wardrobe, plumbing needs a little tuning up when you enter a new season. So, be sure to read a couple summer plumbing tips to prepare you for the weather change that is hopefully here to stay. If it’s not it’s always good to know these for when it does decide to stay.

  • In humid weather, your ducts have the propensity to sweat and create condensation and this can cause a backup if the drains are not clear. Not only can this happen, but leaks in the seams can also cause condensation, so be sure there is no water in the drain pan.
  • When you take that summer vacation be sure to turn down the temperature of your water heater. By doing this you can save money and energy when not even at home!
